There are no official release dates for either the beta or the full online version just yet, but we know that the beta is coming during November.

Best estimates put the likely arrival of the beta at weeks after the release of the standard game, as this is what Rockstar did with GTA 5 and GTA Online.

This would see the beta arrive next week, around 9 November.

Rockstar have said of the forthcoming online game: Using the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation, Red Dead Online will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.

Red Dead Online is planned for launch in November 2018, initially as a public beta, with more news to come soon.
