Clueless, the 1990s teen classic that taught us school grades can always be negotiated, that Alaia is, like, a totally important designer, and the word "kvelling", appears to be getting a remake.
Released in 1995 and starring Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz, the impeccably dressed teen who showed us the importance of a computerised walk-in wardrobe, the film was a box office smash and went on to become a cult classic.
Twenty-three years later, Paramount Studios is said to have hired Marquita Robinson, a writer and story editor on Netflix's GLOW, to write the script for the reboot, while Girls Trip's Tracy Oliver is set to produce the movie.
Oliver tweeted a report on the news and said: "Crazy excited to be producing a *new* take on one of my favorite movies of all time, #Clueless, with the hilarious and super talented @MarqRobinson writing it. As if."
The original Clueless was a modern take on Jane Austen's Emma, updating the setting to Beverly Hills.
Silverstone's Cher was the wealthy LA cool girl navigating high school life who, along with her best friend Dionne, helped romance blossom between two lonely teachers and gave new student Tai a makeover, before finding love herself.
(Okay, so it was with her former step-brother, played by Paul Rudd, but we can gloss over the fact that's a tiny bit weird.)
The remake is said to be in early development and further details have not been revealed, with no news yet on whether any of the original stars will make a cameo.
Dionne was played by Stacey Dash, while Tai was played by Brittany Murphy, who died of pneumonia at the age of 32 in 2009.

Some fans are totally kvelling over the reboot, while others are buggin'. I mean, hello!? A big part of why Clueless is still so loved today is that it is so distinctly '90s – the fashion! The soundtrack! The brick-sized mobiles!
Whatever. If other recent remakes (we're looking at you, new Overboard) are anything to go by, then it's probably best not to mess with a classic – especially one that is a total Betty.
