The Distillers are back and are going out on tour this year for the first time since their split in 2006.

Brody Dalle will be leading the way, as she has done since the band’s inception in 1998, and it appears that she will be joined in the latest line-up by drummer Andy Granelli, guitarist Tony Bevilacqua and bassist Ryan Sinn.

Whilst this line-up is not officially confirmed, The Distillers Twitter account follows just four accounts – those four people.

It had already been confirmed that they will play the Shaky Knees festival in Atlanta, Georgia in May this year, and now they have six more tour dates to their comeback schedule.

Unfortunately, all the dates are confined to the US, specifically to California, Arizona and Texas, but the NME report that dates in the UK and Europe are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, with summer festival appearances likely.

Dalle posted a teaser video on her Instagram on January 3, which suggested new material from the band, so we can also be pretty confident of a new album from the punk rockers this year, as well as their live appearances.

A new album would be their first since 2003’s Coral Fang and fourth in total after debut The Distillers (2000) and Sing Sing Death House (2002).

Tickets for the gigs in the US go on sale on Friday, January 19 at 10am PST (6pm GMT).

Dalle has been busy since the band splitting in 2006, performing with Spinnerette and releasing a solo album, Diploid Love, in 2014.
