Marilyn Manson has hinted that Johnny Depp could be joining the band full time.
The two stars have been close friends for years, and Depp has played with Manson on numerous occasions.
However, Marilyn has now suggested that the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor could be joining the band as a guitarist.
The 49-year-old tweeted: ‘Johnny Depp is considering a position on guitar. Sound great?’

Reaction to the suggestion was mixed. While many Manson fans freaked out in excitement over the possible signing, many others shared links to articles regarding the physical and emotional abuse allegations made against Depp by ex-wife Amber Heard.
Amber was granted a restraining order against Depp after she filed for divorce, with the actress accusing the actor of domestic violence. Images of Heard with bruises on her face were acquired by People magazine. Depp denied the allegations, and the ex-spouses later came to a settlement, with Amber donating the money she received to charity.
In 2016, a joint statement from Depp and Heard read: ‘Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity.’
Manson last year parted ways with long-term bassist Jeordie White, also known as Twiggy Ramirez, after he was accused of rape, sexual and physical assault by his ex-girlfriend Jessicka Adams.
Jack Off Jill’s Jessicka alleged that she had been raped by White while in a relationship with him.
White said in a statement: ‘I have only recently been made aware of these allegations from over 20 years ago. I do not condone non-consensual sex of any kind. I will be taking some time to spend with my family and focus on maintaining my several years of sobriety.
‘If I have caused anyone pain I apologize and truly regret it.’

Following the allegations, The Dope Show rocker Manson tweeted: ‘I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of Marilyn Manson. He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well.’
Johnny, who is in the band Hollywood Vampures with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, and Marilyn are close friends, with Manson being named the godfather of Johnny’s daughter Lily Rose Depp.
The actor also appeared in two of Manson’s videos, KILL4ME and Say10.
