Billy Bob Thornton isnt throwing his hat into the ring to take over from Donald Trump – and doesnt think his fellow celebrities should either.

The Bad Grampa star, 63, confessed he isnt sure why the public are so interested by what famous people – such as Katy Perry, Robert De Niro and Chrissy Teigen – think about politics.

I think sometimes its a little bit overblown with celebrities really having stuff to say about politics, he explained.

We really dont know whats going on behind the scenes with these politicians.

Ive had favourite senators and presidents over the years but the fact of the matter is Im not sure why people are so interested in what an entertainer has to say about politics.

A string of famous faces have come out against Donald Trump in the year since he began his Presidency.

Chrissy Teigen recently announced she was disgusted by his border control measures – which separated more than 2,000 children from their parents.

Kanye West, Oprah and even Kim Kardashian have been rumoured to be running for a seat in the White House, amid all the controversy.

But Billy Bob has vowed he wont be one of those campaigning in the 2020 election.

To be very frank, Im not a very educated guy, Im severely dyslexic, I have OCD – Im not the guy you want running anything, he added to the Daily Telegraph Australia.

The Fargo stars words come after Kim had to speak out over speculation she was planning to run for President.

Speculation she accidentally managed to start herself.

When the 37-year-old was asked whether she wanted to be in power one day, she hinted she could see herself in the White House, simply replying: Never say never.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars words obviously sent fans into meltdown – but she later admitted she has no plans to take over the country.

Speaking to Access Online about the whole drama, she admitted: I dont know why I said that! The answer is never! I dont want to say never… But why would I say that? I dont want to run for the President!
