The season 3 update for Fortnite has been added today but some issues with the new patch has caused delays in getting the servers up and running again.
Fortntie servers have now been down since 9am GMT this morning and they had initially returned at around 11am until some problems appeared shortly after.
Similar server problems occurred last month during the big map update that saw various new additions added to the Battle Royale map.
How long will Fortnite servers be down?
At 1pm GMT Epic Games tweeted that they expect the Fortnite servers to return in around 2 hours.
This means that players should be able to get back online from 3pm, however things could change and Epic Games is set to provide hourly updates.
We expect the servers to be back up in approximately 2 hours.
We'll update hourly.

What is being added in the new Fortnite update?
The release of the season 3 Battle Pass is one of the more anticipated parts of the newest update, but there are plenty of other additions that will excite Fortnite fans.
Players frustrated by the Pump Shotgun ‘double pump’ issue will be pleased to know that this has now been fixed, also grenades are no longer able to deal critical damage.
The hand cannon is the newest weapon to be added to the game, which uses heavy ammo and it can be found as both a rare and epic item.
Another small addition is that players will have control of their character for 10 seconds after their Battle Royale victory, meaning a chance to celebrate and use your emotes.
Epic Games has also changed the way that players can build in Fortnite battle royale with the aim of making it a smoother process.
Changes include the new Turbo Building option which lets players hold down the placement button which lets them continuously place down buildings.
Players will also see that their building material will change automatically when they run out of a certain type.
It will now also be possible to build directly over larger items like rocks and trees, as long as it is supported by terrain or other buildings.
