Spider-Man PS4 New Game Plus: Insomniac says new mode 'Coming Soon', before The Heist DLC? (Pic: SONY)
Earlier this year, Insomniac and Sony revealed that they were planning on releasing a New Game Plus mode for the incredibly popular Spider-Man game.
What does that mean, essentially? A New Game+ mode lets you jump back into the title and enjoy it again (with all your upgrades) once you've completed the game once.
We've been waiting for an update on the addition of a New Game+ in Spider-Man for a while, and now we've got one – and it's good news.
In an interview with Game Informer, the game's creative director Bryan Intihar says that it's coming "soon, really, really soon".

But what will the mode include?
We'll likely see a harder difficulty mode and upgrades/suits carry over from previous game saves, giving players the opportunity to enjoy the game all over again – with a little something added to make it a more invigorating playthrough.
When are we likely to see the mode drop? Well, possibly alongside the launch of the game's first DLC on 23rd October.
The first DLC offering will be The Heist – part of a collection called The City Never Sleeps – and you can find more information on that below.
The first Spider-Man DLC is focused on Black Cat – Spidey's ally/lover – and it seems from the trailer above the two already have some… chemistry.

The first chapter of The City That Never Sleeps is The Heist. As you through play the base game, youll realize that Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, is back in town and shes leaving clues around town to toy with Peter Parker. In The Heist, she finally reveals herself. Featuring new missions and challenges, as well as a brand new faction of enemies and three additional suits to unlock, you wont want to miss it.
The second and third chapters of The City That Never Sleeps are entitled Turf Wars and Silver LiningInsomniac and release on the following dates.
• Marvels Spider-Man: The Heist – October 23
• Marvels Spider-Man: Turf Wars – November 2018
• Marvels Spider-Man: Silver Lining – December 2018
