Once again, “Westworld” had some major new developments in Sunday nights episode.
WARNING: THERE ARE GOING TO BE SPOILERS BELOW. DO NOT KEEP READING IF YOU ARENT CAUGHT UP. CONSIDER YOURSELF FULLY WARNED.
There were two major takeaways from this episode that are, without question, the most important. The first one is that Maeve is liking going to take Shogun World by absolute storm, which should setup a nice head-on collision at some point with Dolores. Weve waited a season and a half to find out what Shogun was all about, and it didnt disappoint. The fighting scenes were awesome.
But Im not going to lie. I wasnt a huge fan of so much Japanese being spoken. Im not watching “Westworld” to learn a foreign language. Im watching it to be entertained. I know its a minor complaint, and its not really even a complaint. The subtitles just get a little old.
The other major point is that Dolores falling out with Teddy officially happened. There is this huge sex scene and then Dolores royally screws him up by having him reset. I predicted that there would be major problems between these two, and it looks like that is a complete certainty now. How will Teddy respond? Will he ever be the same? Will he kill Dolores? (RELATED: THE LATEST EPISODE OF WESTWORLD WAS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING)
Thats what were all asking, and we can find out down the road. Season Two has exceeded all expectations, despite Episode Five not being the best this season.
