Its been a whopper of a year for YouTubers, in more ways than one. But this year has seen more of YouTubes finest than ever bossing it in mainstream entertainment, whether its the big screen, small screen or on stage.

From Joe Sugg showing us his moves on the Strictly dance floor to Carrie Hope Fletcher smashing it as Heathers Veronica Sawyer on stage every night, its been a whirlwind. But never fear! Were here to take you through it all in a calm and organised fashion. Really, what would you do without us?!

Joe Suggs Strictly spectacle

What can we say about Joe Sugg? Hes the internets Billy Elliot, YouTubes own Kevin Bacon (in Footloose, not just normally) and dear lord, we were here for it.

Every week he surprised us, showing us what Strictly Come Dancings really about. He smashed the salsa, fine-tuned the foxtrot, and aced the Argentine Tango.

He may not have won the coveted glitterball trophy, after Stacey Dooley triumphed in the final, but he did win our hearts – oh, and a new girlfriend but really, which is more important?

Carrie Hope Fletchers Heathers bonanza

Carrie was certainly not short of acting credits before starring in Heathers. Tackling Les Mis, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Addams Family, you wouldnt be blamed for thinking wed seen every side of her.

Enter Veronica Sawyer.

We were treated to Carries newfound confidence, as she revealed shes never felt sexier or more confident than playing Veronica.

We saw her go through ups and downs, and come out the other side positively glowing with radiance. We followed her as she vlogged the entire experience and cried with her when it was over and our hearts could barely take it.

Colleen Ballingers Thank U, Next extravaganza

Its one thing to be eight months pregnant during a seemingly endless pregnancy (seriously that felt way longer than nine months), but actual super-mum Colleen Ballinger did it while starring in one of the most highly anticipated music videos ever.

As a freaking cheerleader.

The Miranda Sings star wowed everyone with how she dealt with the pregnancy, and now has a gorgeous baby son who shes understandably obsessed with.

We cant wait for little Flynn to grow up a bit and realise how badass his mum is.

Hannah Wittons Strip sensation

After years of speaking out about feminism and sex positivity online, Hannah was asked to feature in Little Mixs pretty ground-breaking video for their song Strip.

Despite the controversy surrounding it, the girls made an incredible feminist statement and we were absolutely living for it.

Afterwards, Hannah rocked it as one of the spokespeople for the video, speaking on a panel about it (and taking over Little Mixs Spotify to make a banging playlist).

Girl power is alive and well, you guys.

dodies music takeover

Is it just us or has dodies music been EVERYWHERE this year? Were definitely not mad about it.

Ahead of her upcoming Human EP, the world seems to be loving dodie as much as us.

More: Strictly Come Dancing

She was featured in an actual Audi advert as well as a film on Netflix, and its pretty effective you know. Weve never wanted to buy a car so out of our price range or watch a film with SO many horses before.

Shes set to continue her world takeover in the new year with the release of her new album and tour and were ready to see it happen.
