While the floors arent even clean of Bobs blood yet, it appeared one suitor is already lining up to take Joyce Byers mind off the death that broke our heart in the last season of Stranger Things.

While speculation around the storylines of the third instalment, due to hit our screens later this year, starts heating up as we start tingling with anticipation, Elevens adoptive dad Jim Hopper thinks hed make a fine man for Winona Ryders Joyce.

The man behind the character, David Harbour, believes it the case, too, which might hint there is more to this storyline.

And boy do they deserve some happiness. Hopper has been through the ringer what with the demogorgons terrorising his town of Hawkins and Joyce really needs a stress-reliever after that whole thing with her son being taken over by some underworld creature and what not.

There may be other people in the mix in this situation, but I think theyre built for each other and I would love to see them get together, Harbour said, according to Variety. From the very beginning, I thought that these are two tortured, messed up, beautiful people who are like puzzle pieces that cant stand each other but actually need each other.

Oh that reads like poetic Shakespeare, doesnt it?

He added: I think itd be interesting to see if Hopper has it in him to be vulnerable with a woman and to actually be able to show up in that capacity, like what kind of a man he would be in a relationship if that comes to fruition.

Its not the only juice Dave has thrown about when it comes to the next season of the Netflix show.

The 43-year-old actor has shared his thoughts on the script for the next round.

And he says phrases like new directions and comfort zones which is code for ruddy good writing! Right?

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter recently, he said: The scripts are really great this year.

And in the new directions that were going, all of us are taking a lot of risks. Were all a little bit out of our comfort zone.

Harbour added: Just taking my story, for example, its fun to see Hopper having adopted Eleven. Shes become legitimised in the society, in the world of Hawkins. And hes a father now.

Hes raising a teenage daughter, with all that that entails. So I think that can be pretty funny to see his inadequacies in all of this.

Stranger Things season 3 will release on Netflix in 2019.
