Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most anticipated games of 2018, with the long-awaited sequel already becoming a big talking point for gamers.
Fans have been eager to see Rockstar Games return to the franchise since the huge success of the original Red Dead Redemption back in 2010.
There’s still not too much known about the game since the newest trailer was released back in September.
However, with the release date now not too far away, here is everything you need to know about Red Dead Redemption 2.
When is the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date?
An official release date for the game has yet to be announced by Rockstar Games, with the game already being delayed once.
One of the more recent updates said that Red Dead Redemption 2 won’t be out until April 2018 at the earliest.
After the game was originally announced in October 2016, Rockstar Games had initially given Autumn 2017 as the games release date, but later announced that it would be delayed until Spring 2018.
A recent leak by Netherlands-based retailer Coolshop said that the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date would be on 8th June.
Coolshop previously predicted the release of another Rockstar Game, Grand Theft Auto V, back in 2014.
How to pre-order Red Dead Redemption 2
Players eager to get their hands on a copy of the game can already pre-order it directly from the Rockstar Games website.
If you are looking to get a deluxe edition of the game then you may want to hold off a bit longer, as a deluxe edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 has not yet been announced, but Rockstar could reveal one along with the official release date sometime during the next few months.
What to expect from Red Dead Redemption 2
There’s still not that much known about RDR 2, with Rockstar keeping pretty quiet about what fans of the original game can expect.
The Rockstar website described it as ‘an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland.’
It also says that ‘the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.’
The last Red Dead Redemption game was release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010 and received praise from reviewers and gamers for its gameplay and story.
As well as selling more than 15 million copies, it also received a number of awards including game of the year from a number of gaming publications.
