The next GTA Online update is getting close and will focus on the long-awaited opening of Grand Theft Auto 5's Casino that has remained desolate since the game first released 6 years ago.
For anyone who doesn't know the Casino has displayed an 'Opening Soon' banner outside ever since the game launched, but last week that all changed.
"There were rumors that GTAO Next Update will feature the casino, I can confirm it," tweeted out infamous GTA dataminer TezFunz2.
And then by magic a few days later Rockstar confirmed as much in a tweet sent from the official Rockstar Twitter account, which told fans:
"Opening soon: A luxury casino in the heart of Vinewood…"
Obviously, we still don't know the full details surrounding this next update. There's no set release date yet and beyond the main image which Rockstar tweeted, there are zero official details shared just yet.
But there is one interesting theory that we've stumbled upon which makes a lot of sense.
Prominent GTA and Red Dead Redemption 2 content creator, MrBossFTW, has done a lot of digging and has put forward the case for one prominent piece of content that could be coming.
What is that super secret content they might include? Horses! Yes, those four-legged hay munching animals, which, remarkably still don't exist in the game.
Yes, that's right, somehow in five-plus years, the game still doesn't include any sort of horse-related vehicles or animals. Which seems odd given the previous release of Red Dead Redemption. You'd think that would be quite easy to include.
MrBossFTW suggests the game could look to include these animals for a myriad of reasons. We'd suggest taking a look at his video above, but given the game already includes a lot of content in the game files, it makes sense.
There is however another pretty substantial reason for this particular connection and its to do with what is behind the casino.
