Every year People magazine comes out with its “Most Beautiful” issue and this year singer Pink takes home the honor, something even she could hardly believe.

“I laughed out loud,” the 38-year-old singer shared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Wednesday, before explaining how she felt when she got the call. “I immediately turned to whoever was in the room and said, Did you ever think this is as good as it gets?'”

“She might be a Grammy-winning pop star, but #TheBeautifulIssue cover star #Pink admits shes just taking it day by day when it comes to being a mom to her two kids,” the magazine captioned its post on Instagram, along with the cover shot of Pink with her two kids.

However, the magazines editor-in-chief Jess Cagle explained that they decided this year to name the issue the “Beautiful Issue” rather than using words like “Most Beautiful” as the magazine has done in the past.

“Over the years, the name of the issue has evolved (50 Most Beautiful, Most Beautiful Woman, etc.), but the words Most Beautiful have always been part of the title,” Cagle said. “This year were renaming it The Beautiful Issue– to make clear that the issue is not a beauty contest. Nothing else has changed.”

“As always it will feature beautiful women (and a few men) of all shapes, sizes and colors, and it will celebrate the most beautiful qualities of all: strength, humanity and artistry,” he added.
