Christmas is a time for many things, but not, it seems, for the Gallagher brothers to finally kiss and make up.

Older brother Noel has reignited their feud with his latest comments in an interview with Mojo magazine, in which he was asked once again about the longed-for Oasis reunion.

Featuring on the cover, Noel appears alongside the headline: "Oasis? Liam? I'd rather go busking!"

The singer-songwriter told the magazine that his younger brother acts for his ego and does not really care about Oasis fans.

Noel said Liam had walked off stage numerous times throughout his career, proving his contempt for the band's fanbase.

"Liam wants to do it [an Oasis reunion] for his ego – he never gave a s*** about the fans," he said.

"He wouldn't have walked off stage 25 times in his career if he gave a s*** about the fans."

Usually prolific on Twitter, Liam has yet to respond to the interview.

Oasis last performed together in 2009.

At the beginning of the year, frontman Liam claimed in an interview with Q magazine that Noel was "desperate" to return to the band but the reunion was being blocked by his wife, Sara MacDonald.

In the summer, he made a plea for a reunion on Twitter, saying they should "get the BIG O back together and stop f****** about".

However, it seemed Noel did not share his enthusiasm, with Liam posting just a day later, apparently after receiving no response: "I'll take that as a NO then as you were LG x."

In his interview with Mojo, Noel also spoke about his former drug use, saying it gave him more inspiration for lyrics than the more sedate lifestyle he leads today.

He said: "When you're doing coke, there's always funny stuff to write about. You're up all night thinking loads of weird s*** surrounded by mad people.
