Queen of Hollywood and newest addition to the Big Little Lies cast Meryl Streep turned 70 yesterday, sending our social media timelines an endless stream of The Devil Wears Prada and Mamma Mia gifs.
Not that were complaining.
Some of Meryls famous pals also joined in the online dedications to the iconic actress, with Big Little Lies co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern showing the love too.

She continued the celebrations over on her stories, questioning the BLL cast on their favourite ever Meryl movies.
Nicole Kidman, who plays Meryls daughter-in-law on the HBO drama, couldnt pick just one fave and listed Kramer vs Kramer, Out Of Africa, Sophies Choice and Adaptation.

The Moulin Rouge star didnt end there, pushing herself into Lauras answers to add Silkwood and Postcards From The Edge into the mix too.
Laura – when she could get a word in – chose Julia and Deer Hunter as her must-see Meryl movies, while Reese herself gave an honorouble mention to her iconic role as Miranda Priestley in The Devil Wears Prada.
Alongside another photo of a younger Meryl, Laura declared the 70th birthday as a national holiday on her own Instagram, writing: This girl became my legend. And I do declare today an international holiday. Muse Day! Here here!
Then I actually got to not only meet my hero but work with her. I thank the Gods.
