Melania Trump looked pretty in a pink suit at the annual Senate Spouses Luncheon at the National Gallery of Art Tuesday.
“The Senate Spouses Luncheon has a history of paying tribute to First Ladies & I was honored to attend todays event. Thank you for your continued support & generous donation to Prestons Veteran Flowers & Flags. Through #BeBest we can effect positive change for our children,” the first lady tweeted shortly after the event, along with a few pictures from the luncheon.

During the luncheon, Trump talked about her new initiative titled “Be Best” that focuses on helping kids be “their best selves.”
“The goal of BE BEST is to educate children about the many issues they are facing today so that they can grow up as happy, healthy, and morally responsible adults. They are our future and they deserve every opportunity to thrive,” the first lady shared, according to a White House press release. “I believe strongly that as adults we should encourage children to BE BEST in all aspects of their lives and so my initiatives are focused on three major areas; physical and emotional well-being, social media use, and opioid abuse.”
“I plan to continue speaking with children directly about both the small victories and the difficult realities they face every day,” she added. “Through BE BEST, I want to help shine a spotlight on the people, organizations, and programs across the country that are helping children overcome the issues they face as they grow up.”
“Thank you to all who attended yesterdays launch of #BeBest. I will continue focusing on ways to help children be their best selves. Please visit http://www.BeBest.gov to learn more,” the first lady shared Monday.
