Maya Jama is going to be all business at the Brit Awards as she presents live from the red carpet this week.

Maya is used to interviewing Big For Your Boots star Stormzy, and the big night in British music will be no different.

The Radio 1 host appeared on Good Morning Britain to chat about the awards, and won’t be tempted to slip into couple mode with her rapper boyfriend.

Presenter Susanna Reid asked: ‘When you see Stormzy on the red carpet, what kind of interview do you do with him?’

Maya said: ‘We’re quite professional. I’ve interviewed him a few times so we’re just like, “Hey you alright?”

‘I’m friends with quite a few of them anyway, interviewing the artists and stuff, I just treat it as normal.

‘Also I don’t know too much about his performance, so it will be a surprise to me as well. It’s good, it’s exciting, I get the “day before” jitters.’

Justin Timberlake will be returning to the Brits stage 15 years after he last duetted with Kylie Minogue at the show, and Liam Payne and Rita Ora will be performing together as well.

And there’s going to a few surprises two as Maya teased one or two ‘secret’ performances are being lined up.

The Brits, hosted by Jack Whitehall, take place at London’s O2 on 21 February.
