Jay-Z dropped nearly one hundred thousand pounds on alcohol this weekend, after he took a group of Roc Nation execs out for a birthday bender in New York that calls for Gatsby-level carnage.

The rapper, also known as Beyonce’s husband, hung out in Manhattan on Sunday and spent $110,000 (£78,665) on a whole bunch of exquisite drinks to celebrate the birthday of Juan ‘OG’ Perez, who’s president of Roc Nation Sports.

The crew first headed to Zuma, a swanky dig in Midtown, where Hov slapped his credit card down on the table and picked up the $13,000 (£9000) tab.

Because when you’re Jay-Z, you can do these things.

Not content in ceasing his night there, the group made their way to Made in Mexico where Jay dropped another $9,000 (£6,400) on booze, before heading to the Playroom, where they ordered 40 bottles of their finest Ace of Spades Champagne.

Imagine having that much money you can spend a hundy-k on a product you already own.

He basically paid himself that money. Which just seemed rather counter intuitive.

According to onlookers, the bottles of very expensive plonk were passed around the bar like it ain’t no thing.

After the fun and games was all done and dusted at Playroom, their server the final bill on Snapchat, which came to $91,135 (£65,000) which included an epic $11,000 (£7,800) tip.
