Tis the season of Macaulay Culkin, yall.
The Home Alone star enjoys a particular resurgence in popularity around Christmas time as his angelic 10-year-old face lights up screens throughout the month of December (although, admittedly, keep the change you filthy animals works all year round).
Thats right, Christmas time means Home Alone on repeat – and were not mad about it.
In fact, neither is Macaulay, who admitted he too has been known to have a good old Home Alone session while enjoying a spot of Netflix and Chill.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon on Wednesdays The Tonight Show, the 38-year-old admitted it was a great party trick in impressing the ladies – and he isnt afraid to admit hes used it in the past.
You get like a new girlfriend and shes flipping through the channels and then theres Home Alone and shes like, “Ehh, you wanna watch it?” he described to the late-night host.
”You wanna watch Macaulay Culkin, dont you?” the actor continued. Shes like, “Yeesss”.
Pressed on whether Macaulay had actually been in that situation, he replied: I have indulged that and most of the time Im just muttering my lines under my breath.
Whatever gets her motor running, I guess.
Macaulay rose to fame in the lead role of Kevin McCallister in the 1990 blockbuster, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for best actor – motion picture musical or comedy.
The actor reprised his role in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York two years later and was hailed as one of the most successful child actors since Shirley Temple.
Macaulay quit acting in 1994 but returned in 2003, starring in Will and Grace and 2003 film Party Monster, but turned down a leading role in The Big Bang Theory three times.
