And the flames of the beef were stoked once more at the American Music Awards, when both pop icons opted to go pretty in pink.
Convincing us she has access to the fountain of youth, Jennifer, 49, made sure all eyes were on her on the red carpet in a hot pink gown with black detailing.
The fluorescent frock featured a plunging neckline, a thigh high slit and a dramatic train, and teamed with JLos trademark sultry gaze, made for one *fire emoji* lewk.

And when Mariah took to the stage for her AMAs performance, it seemed she got the memo on the colour scheme.
The 48-year-old donned a skintight pink gown with a black pattern on the sides for her performance of With You, with the hem of the dress spreading over the platform and fixing her to the spot.
Maybe thats why Mariah could barely move.
Even before the ladies wore the same colour to the awards bash, there were rumours the nemeses would be heading for a showdown.
However, Jennifer has previously played down the feud, previously telling Andy Cohen: I know from back in the day, Ive read things that shes said about me that were not the greatest, but we have never met.
Like, we dont know each other. I think its kind of from word of mouth of things that have happened in the past that Im not really aware of.

And a source told HollywoodLife that Mariahs former husband and manager Tommy Mottola was the architect behind the beef.
They said: Tommy pitted Jennifer against Mariah when she was a new signing to Sony records, basically because he and Mariah werent on good terms, at all, following their divorce, and he used J.Lo. as a way to stick it to Mariah.

It has basically grown from there and became a “thing” in the media, but in reality, it has really not.
