Liam Payne says he can’t believe how well his solo career has gone ever since flew away from the One Direction nest.

The Strip That Down hitmaker is pretty pleased with how well his solo tracks have been accepted by fans.

The 24-year-old also added that performing on his own at Wembley Stadium has been one of his highlights of 2017.

Taking to his Instagram, the father of one said in a post: ‘I’ve got to perform to some amazing crowds this year, starting with 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium! With the boys you had the chance to bounce off each other, when you’re on your own it’s just you and you have to get out and just do it! (sic)’

The former One Direction member, who has nine-month-old son Bear with his partner Cheryl Tweedy, also shared another memorable event from 2017 with his Instagram followers.

He wrote on New’s Year Day: ‘Last and final memory of this year is going up and accepting the Brit award on behalf of my band knowing we‘ve still got it! ?? Happy new year everybody!’

This isn’t the only time Liam has been super sweet on the photo-sharing site, as just last week the singer paid tribute to his son and Cheryl.

He admitted that he will ‘never forget’ the emotion he felt when he held his son Bear for the first time when he welcomed him to the world in March 2017.

He wrote: ‘2017 has been a crazy year! I’m gonna post a memory every day this week. First has to be my baby boy Bear! Holding him for the first time is a memory I will never forget and watching him grow up is just amazing to see.

‘@cherylofficial has been an incredible mother to baby Bear since the day he was born and I can’t thank her enough for that,’ he said thanking Cheryl.
