Miley Cyrus has revealed how she showed her gratitude to Liam Hemsworth for being the hero of her house fire.

The singer said her fiance got a lot of action for rescuing her menagerie of animals and house pets during the California wild fires that totally destroyed her Malibu home.

Miley said she had never loved him more than when he saved her four horses (two big, two small), two pigs, seven horses and cats – even though he didnt manage to pull her songbook from the blaze.

That is why you pair up with someone, for survival, she told Howard Stern on his radio show on Wednesday.

He got all the animals out in his truck. He put two pigs in crates, which, I can tell you, is so hard.

She then joked: He got a lot of action for saving the animals. Yeah, he got a lot of action. We had to make sure he knew I was very, very grateful.

Miley was disappointed to lose the songwriting book in which she penned Malibu and all her songs, as she revealed that her fiance grabbed his laptop and camera instead.

The 25-year-old and her partner were swiftly evacuated from the hillside property last month but all that is left of the home is rubble following the Woolsey blaze.

The singer previously said that she was refusing to let it be a period of post-traumatic stress and instead, she was embracing a growth period.

She said: For me, I had a choice of post-traumatic stress or post-traumatic growth.

I think you can feel like you dont have control, especially when something happens thats a natural disaster because there is no beating nature; it is really what it is.

To be able to go into yourself and to find that growth and say, “What am I gonna do about this?” and being able to be an active member of my community — not as a celebrity figure but just as a neighbour — has just been really a big growing experience.
