Ubisofts E3 2019 press conference has been packed full of updates for both its current and upcoming titles.
Watch Dogs Legion finally made its debut after months of speculation and the typical pre E3 leaks with Ubisoft delivering on its promise to create a vibrant depiction of dystopian London, overrun by a hive of intriguing AI actors.
One announcement many wouldnt have expected is Gods & Monster, a game which has also been referred to as “Project Orpheus”.
We were presented with a special demo of the upcoming title which is a completely new IP from Ubisoft and one they hope will cement their third party dominance in 2020.
Speaking directly with Ubisoft Quebec senior producer Marc-Alexis Côté and creative director Johnathan Dumont, we were able to talk about Gods & Monsters while also getting a very early look at gameplay.
Gods & Monsters will be launching on February 25th for all major platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Of course, with Ubisoft continuing to strengthen its ties with Google and the cloud gaming revolution, a Stadia version is also planned.

In fact this was the version we were treated to and although there were some technical difficulties we got a healthy insight into how Gods & Monsters is shaping up.
The easiest comparison to make is with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Gods & Monsters is an action adventure game that offers cinematic, over the top combat while rewarding those who explore its dense open world with challenging puzzles and traversal.
The major difference here is its focus on Greek mythology. With Assassins Creed Odyssey having been such a major hit for Ubisoft, it should come as no surprise that its developers are still passionately digging into its lore for more stories and ideas.
