For Honor Season 5 UPDATES – Age of Wolves Screenshots and changes explained

Age of Wolves celebrates the one year anniversary since the launch of For Honor. This season will focus on gameplay and stability with major hero updates, global fight changes, new training features and the long-awaited arrival of dedicated servers.

ORIGINAL STORY – For Honor is going offline at 5PM GMT today as Ubisoft prepares to update the game for the new Season 5 content, known as Age of Wolves.

The official Reddit post from the games Community Developer, MrEricPope told fans:

"Tomorrow at 12PM EST the Season 5 maintenance will begin on all platforms. It should take around 45 minutes of downtime to complete.

"During this time I strongly urge you to check out the Warrior's Den [livestream] as we have an incredible, surprise-packed show for you.

"Maybe if you saw the Roadmap we released last week you might have an idea of what we want to cover. But I promise you. are. not. prepared."

Damien [Kieken‏ – Game Director] is literally standing behind me right now and won't let me say any more, but it's dope as hell, trust me."

The Warriors Den Livestream will be available on YouTube from 5PM and you can watch it if you follow this link.

However, as soon as the livestream finishes you'll be able to dive into the Season's content.

Dedicated Servers

It's been a long wait but they're finally here. After a lot of hard work, the For Honor team is happy to announce the implementation of Dedicated Servers in Season 5 Age of Wolves. It wil be deployed on all PvP game modes and enhance the experience for all warriors. Dedicated servers will be released on PC on February 19 (date subject to change), while release on console is expected at a later date.

Major Hero Updates

After listening to community feedback, both the Kensei and Conqueror movesets have been updated with new moves and animations to increase their efficiency on the battlefield. In addition, some major balancing updates have been made on the Berserker, Nobushi and Highlander.

Global Fight Changes

In an effort to lower the prevalence of defensive behaviour in PvP combat, the team has also updated the fight system for players to aim for a more offensive mindset. Turtles beware!

SEASON 5 – WHATS NEW – CONTINUED

Refined Gear

For all players looking to maximize their Gear sets further, you can now do so with a new layer to your crafting: Refined Legendary weapons and armor.

XP Boosts

Now players will be able to spend their Salvage (gathered by dismantling gear) in exchange for an XP boost that you can apply before any match.

New Training Features

Hone your skills in For Honor's new Training Mode. Learn the basics of the art of battle in our apprentice and warrior trials as a newer player to the game. For seasoned veterans looking to take their game to the next level, take a step into the arena mode and practice against specific Heroes and moves. Practice makes perfect.

Other Features

• Multiple Mood Effects: Players are now able to equip different effects on each of their executions and emotes slots.

• Tribute Ranked: 4v4 Ranked play in Season 5 will now be available through Tribute.

• Faction War – Strategic Points: Strategic Points have now been added to the World Map. Owning a territory that has a strategic point, will grant bonuses for either XP, loot and war assets. A new reason to fight in the Faction War!
