The 55 player shortlist was announced at the start of this year and fans will find out the results later today.

The winners are decided by a ballot with votes being submitted by athletes as well as members of the media and the FIFA community including YouTubers and pro FIFA players.

Once ballots are submitted they are tallied and make up 60% of the vote, with EA Sports casting the other 40%.

The final team will be made up of a goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three attackers.

When is the FIFA 19 TOTY announced?

The line-up for the Team of the Year will be announced on Monday 7 January.

Last year the results were gradually revealed over a few days, announcing the defender and goalkeeper, then a midfielders and concluding with the strikers.

This year they will all be announced together and players will likely be able to try and get them in player packs from around 6pm this evening.

The exact time that the line-up will be announced hasnt been revealed by EA Sports, but if it follows the usual announcements times for Team of the Week then it is likely to take place at 3pm.
