Shenmue III – you can get your money back and Epic are paying

In an attempt to counter fan anger, Epic Games has said theyll pay for refunds for people upset that Shenmue III is an exclusive.

As you may have noticed, a lot of people are very angry about Epic Games Store and they seem to have been that way for a while now.

The basic complaint is that Epic are buying up exclusives from Steam and forcing people to use their service if they want to play many of the PCs top games.

This has caused particular problems when it involves crowdfunded games, where people assumed the finished product was going to be available on Steam and backed the project with that in mind.

Many fans have ended up cancelling their orders as a result and so to try and defuse the situation Epic Games has offered to pay for the refunds – so the developers arent left out of pocket.

Shenmue III will be the first game to benefit, after fans got angry at finding out that itll be an Epic Game Store exclusive for 12 months after its release (currently 19 November, if its not delayed again).
