Game Of Thrones: Beyond The Wall – lets hope its not beyond the pale in terms of microtransactions

A new Game Of Thrones video game has been announced and, predictably, its not exactly the big budget console game fans wouldve hoped for.

While it was still on, there were plenty of Game Of Throne video games but, as is so often the case with licensed games, none of them were even close to being as good as fans wouldve hoped.

Now that its all over the chances of getting any significant percentage of the original cast back for voiceovers seems remote, so it may be down to the spin-off TV shows and… mobile games like this.

Beyond The Wall is described as a collective strategy RPG and is set several decades before the show, as you take command of the Nights Watch to defend against Wildings and worst.

To be more specific, the show is set just after Lord Commander Brynden Rivers (aka Bloodraven, aka the Three-Eyed Raven), disappeared while exploring beyond the Wall.

But despite being a prequel youll apparently be able to recruit many characters from the show, including different costumed versions of Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime Lannister, Melisandre, and Tormund Giantsbane.

With the conceit being that youre using the time-bending power of the Weirwood trees to visit different moments in time.
