Cardi B has achieved her childhood dream and purchased a house for her mother in New York.

The rapper took to Instagram to share a video of the new mansion, which boasts a large bathroom and a gym, and thanked her fans for helping her to support her dreams.

She also revealed that she had hoped to buy a property last year but she could only afford $600,000 and you know we live in New York so a price that looked like that look like shit.

Stay down till you come up! Its always been a dream to buy my mother a house, she captioned the videos.

Last year I was so thirsty to buy my mom a house but the ones I was interested for her werent at my price range (sic). I worked and worked and now Im here!! Thank you everybody who supported me to make my childhood dreams come true! Buy my momma a house!!

Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, appeared in New York reality show Love And Hip Hop but made the transition to become a recording artist in the last year with the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, Invasion Of Privacy.

Cardi, who has a four-month-old daughter Kulture with husband Offset, also joked that she was excited for her daughter to come and stay.

She said: When my daughter visits her grandmas house, she gonna come here.
