FIFA 19 ULTIMATE SCREAM – UPDATE 1: EA Sports has announced their new FIFA 19 Ultimate Scream event and revealed the special players involved in this years first event for the game.

As previously mentioned, the FIFA 17 Scream team had ratings boosted but only for the Halloween weekend. Whilst in FIFA 18 it worked during select other times of the year too, such as full moons and Friday the 13th.

But whilst we have the team, we have to wait until 6pm BST tonight before we find out exactly how this year's cards will work. Here's the full team coming later today:

FIFA 19 could be set to announce it's first brand new in-game event later today as we believe EA Sports will look to bring back last years popular Halloween themed Ultimate Scream team.

For anyone who can't remember Ultimate Scream cards were available in packs and features player cards with some seriously scary stats boosts.

The cards themselves only have a slight boost in stats, but, over the Halloween weekend they are said to "come alive" with scary (but temporary) stats.

There's usually a couple of new SBC (Squad Building Challenges) to complete as well for some extra Halloween bonuses.

We could also see the release of some discount promo packs, which are great for anyone with money to burn on new FUT cards.

Likewise, last year saw the inclusion of a new black kit covered in spider-webs. So we might see a spooky new kit released as well.

Just above and below you'll find a prediction of who we could see in this years 2018 Ultimate Scream Team from two FIFA 19 fans, but until EA Sports show their hand, it's hard to say anything is definitive.

However, keep reading for more info, including when FIFA 19 Ultimate Scream starts and how you can get your hands on the special Ultimate Scream cards in FIFA 19.

When Does FIFA 18 Ultimate Scream Start?

The FIFA 17 Ultimate Scream started on Friday Oct 21st at 10am PDT (6PM BST) lasting until Oct 28th – with the "terrifying temporary stats boosts" starting Oct 28th until Nov 1st.

Likewise, the FIFA 18 Ultimate Scream event started Friday, October 20th also at 10am PDT (6PM BST).

So, we're pretty confident that the FIFA 19 Ultimate Scream event will begin tomorrow, Friday October 19th at the exact same time of 10am PDT (6PM BST).

We're expecting that we could hear something from EA Sports either TODAY or tomorrow afternoon. Though we certainly would expect to see some sort of announcement before the Player Cards become available.

How to get FIFA 18 Ultimate Scream Player Cards

Assuming EA Sports stick to their usual formula for the event, we believe that FIFA 19 Ultimate Scream cards will be available like any set of promotional TOTW, Hero cards in the game.

You'll likely only be able to get them in FUT card packs up until when the Halloween weekend starts.

Obviously, you'll also be able to acquire a special Ultimate Scream player from the in-game transfer market, but we'd caution against overspending given that there are likely better cards worth spending your cash on in the weeks and months ahead.

The release of the games Ultimate Scream event follows on from the yesterday's FIFA 19 TOTW 5 reveal which is now live in the game on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

The starting XI this week features FIVE Premier League players including Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk, Manchester United duo Eric Bailly and Romelu Lukaku, as well as starting XI spots for Manchester City's Bernardo Silva and West Ham forward Marko Arnautović.
