Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson were left devastated this evening after arriving at Gatwick Airport to find their flight had been cancelled amid the travel chaos.
The couple were pictured arriving at Gatwick on Friday evening, walking hand-in-hand with hopes of catching their flight to make their Christmas getaway.
However, it appears the Hollywood stars were just one of the hundreds of thousands of travellers stranded after drones flying over the airport caused runways to close on Wednesday.
Leaning on each other for support during the stressful and disheartening situation, Cara, 26, and Ashley, 29, were full of affection as they strolled through the airport and made their way to the departures.
Its possible the pair had booked a romantic trip for Ashleys birthday which fell last Tuesday.
When it seemed as though their flight would take off as scheduled, an elated Ashley was seen high-fiving the Suicide Squad actress believing their holiday would be going ahead. But flights were still grounded this evening with the situation unresolved, prompting the couple to grab their luggage and exit the airport with their Christmas plans potentially ruined.

YouTube star Jacksepticeye revealed hes also been affected by the travel drama and told his subscribers that videos on his channel would be delayed as he tries to make it home to Ireland in time for Christmas Day.
It will be Cara and Ashleys first Christmas together with their romance blossoming back in May. Last month, a source told InStyle that they wanted to keep things under the radar so they could get to know each other outside of the spotlight first.
The couple have been inseparable ever since and right now, it seems they couldnt be more in love.
