Pop star Ariana Grande has appeared to confirm reports that she is engaged.

The 24-year-old US singer has been replying to fans tweeting her about rumours that she is to marry boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grande became engaged to Davidson after just a few weeks of dating.

The One Last Time singer was seen sporting a large diamond ring during a performance in Los Angeles on 2 June.

Grande and Davidson have been exchanging flirty messages and posting about each other on social media, with Grande teasing engagement rumours on Twitter.

When one fan said "I hope he knows he is marrying us as well", Grande replied with "HAHAHAHAHAHH HES BEEN BRIEFED" (sic).

She also told fans she was "happy" and "excited".

Grande and Davidson, a comedian and actor best known for his sketches on Saturday Night Live, both recently ended previous relationships.

The pop star had been in a relationship with rapper Mac Miller for two years, while Davidson split with Cazzie David, the daughter of comedian Larry David, in May.

Recently Grande called her relationship with Miller "toxic", saying she is "not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be."

Davidson has two tattoos referring to the singer, including her initials and the bunny ears logo associated with her.

US Weekly reports that friends have called the pair a "perfect fit", although said that they are "not rushing to get married".

According to the same source, the couple told others they were engaged at Robert Pattinson's birthday party in Los Angeles on Saturday.

They were also seen at Disneyland in Anaheim on Monday, where Grande was seen sporting the ring.

Grande and Davidson have not yet publicly announced their engagement.

The singer recently admitted she had been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder since the terror attack on her concert which killed 22 people.
