Ant McPartlin has once again been spotted collecting his four-legged friend from his marital home after allegedly telling wife Lisa Armstrong he wants to go public with their split.
Ant was seen returning home to pick up his furry friend Hurley amid reports he ‘officially wants to announce their divorce’, with a car waiting for him and the pooch to whisk them off.
He and wife Lisa haven’t been pictured together in four months, with him reportedly choosing to live in rented accommodation in West London.
Lisa, meanwhile, kicked off the New Year with a cartoon image of herself throwing out a ‘rubbish’ 2017.
Ant and Lisa’s marriage is said to have been under strain since he returned from his rehab stay earlier this year after admitting he had been struggling with addiction to prescription drugs and alcohol.
Ant allegedly told his wife he wants to separate after weeks of speculation over their marriage, and reports claim she is ‘struggling to accept their marriage is over.’
A source told The Sun: ‘Ant and Lisa are definitely over. He sees no way back for their marriage.
‘Lisa has been struggling to accept it is the end. It is all very sad, especially with all she has gone through this year. She was clinging to the hope they could work things out.’
They claim Ant wants to release an official statement in the new year but ‘Lisa has not agreed to this yet’.
