AJ Pritchard has been left traumatised after he was attacked on a night out, along with brother Curtis.

The pair were enjoying an evening out in Cheshire when they were set upon by eight men, in an unprovoked attack.

And the Strictly Come Dancing professional, 24, is reportedly too scared to leave the house after the ordeal – which left him covered in bruises.

AJ is beside himself with worry and anxiety, an insider claimed. He is so traumatised by what happened he doesnt want to leave the house.

He has told friends he doesnt understand why this has happened to him. He has never been targeted before and this has come out of the blue.

While a pal of the professional dancer has called for more protection for the shows stars, after Gorka Marquez was attacked back in 2016.

This is starting to become a regular occurrence and there is a fear that it could happen again, they told the Sunday Mirror. It seems only right that there should be more security for them.

AJ and Curtis were taken to hospital after they were circled by a group of eight thugs, while at the Nakatcha nightclub, in Nantwich, Cheshire.

The men in question reportedly started kicking and punching the pair – as well as two of their friends – in the face, in an unprovoked attack.

A spokesperson for the Pritchard told Metro.co.uk: AJ and Curtis were assaulted whilst on a night out with two friends on the 27th December 2018 in an unprovoked attack in Nantwich, Cheshire.

Curtis is due to undergo an emergency operation in the next few days to correct the damages he has sustained to his knee, he is also recovering from injuries to his eye and face.

AJ received bruising to his face, arms, body and legs.

Statements have been given to Cheshire Police and they are currently undergoing an investigation.

Following the ordeal, a string of AJs Strictly co-stars have shared their support with the brothers on social media.

And her husband, Neil Jones, said: Disgusting what happened to @Aj11Ace and his brother @CurtisPritchard and I hope they catch everyone involved.

Curtis, 23, has since been forced to pull out of the next series of Irelands Dancing With The Stars, to recover from his injuries.

A spokesperson for RTE said: Dancing with the Stars pro-dancer Curtis Pritchard was involved in an incident on 26 December 2018. As a result of the injuries sustained, he will not have recovered in time for the launch of the new series, which will air 6 January 2019.

Dancing with the Stars wish Curtis a speedy recovery.

A replacement for Curtis on the show is currently being arranged by (production company) Shinawil and we look forward to welcoming Curtis back when he recovers.
