Natalie Portman may have been working on more underground projects over recent months, but rumors about her next project are getting fans hyped across the board.
Portman has devoted most of her time in 2018 to social activism and independent productions, but a recent interview with “Avengers” director Anthony Russo indicates Portman might be returning for broad appeal. (RELATED: HERES WHY NATALIE PORTMAN IS BOYCOTTING ISRAEL)
Asked by Huff Post whether the franchise might consider reviving Natalie Portmans supposedly deceased character, Jane Foster, in the next “Avengers” film, Russo indicated that decision might be “too spoiler-y.”
“When we say spoiler, [we mean] potential spoiler,” Russo clarified.

Huffington Post expanded on the concept.
“Natalie Portman hasnt been a part of the MCU since Thor: The Dark World back in 2013. However, Portman has said shed be open to returning to the Marvel realm, so maybe a Thor-Jane reunion is on the horizon.”
Back in 2016, Natalie Portman revealed she was probably done with Marvel, but refused to close the door completely.
“As far as I know, Im done,” she said. “I dont know if, maybe one day, theyll ask for an Avengers 7 or whatever. I have no idea! But as far as I know, Im done. But it was a great thing to be a part of.”
Whatever happens, it looks like the next “Avengers” could be just as full of surprises as the previous one.
