Xbox Games Pass: Sea of Thieves, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil and more added FREE this month

On January 23, Xbox announced a major expansion to Xbox Game Pass.

The publisher announced that it'll be adding major first-party titles to the service as they launch, a move Microsoft says "underscores our commitment to deliver our fans the ultimate gaming membership".

By launching all new Xbox One exclusive games from Microsoft Studios into Xbox Game Pass on the same date as their global release, the studio hopes to allow more players the opportunity to get in on the ground floor with games at launch.

It's a brave move from Microsoft, and one that could potentially save gamers a lot of money: instead of committing £40 or over on a game at launch, players will be able to access all the newest games simply for a £7.99 per month fee.

As well as the new titles constantly being added to the service, you can also expect to play over 100 titles already in the Xbox One library for the service – it's pretty good value.

March sees the first time the company will put this plan of launching games via the service into action: as of March 20 the newly launched Sea of Thieves will be available Xbox Game Pass members the same day as its global release.

But that's not the only game Microsoft will be adding this month.

In March, Xbox Game Pass members can also look forward to Rise of the Tomb Raider, Super Lucky’s Tale, Resident Evil Revelations 2, Oxenfree, Sonic CD, The Final Station, and Euro Fishing.

All these games will be added to Games Pass on March 1.

Here's everything you need to know about each upcoming game:
