A new Death Stranding gameplay trailer was revealed at Gamescom this week, giving more insight into the upcoming release.
It included a glimpse at some of the characters who will appear throughout, as well as a look at how players can use unique mechanics during the game.
The game will be set in an open world and it is being directed by Hideo Kojima, who has worked on several video game projects, most notably the Metal Gear series.

Who is in the Death Stranding cast?
The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus will be voicing Sam, the main character in the game.
One of the most recent trailers showed how players will have to guide sam across a mountainous terrain before being greeted by a hologram played by Geoff Keighley.

The game will also include a character called Mama, whoh has a baby on the ;other side, which stops her from being able to leave.
Mama will be played by Margaret Qualley, who appeared in the HBO series The Leftovers, and most recent had a role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The Shapre of Water director Guillermo Del Toro will also appear in Death Stranding, playing Deadman.
Other cast members include Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Troy Baker, and Emily OBrien.

When is the Death Stranding release date?
Death Stranding is set to be released on PS4 on Friday 8 November.
Earlier this month some fans spotted that PlayStation Australia no longer has Death Stranded listed as a PlayStation exclusive, which could suggest that the game will soon be confirmed for PC.
