Gamescom returns to Germany this week, and it will be a chance for gamers to get a close look at some of the big titles coming out later this year and in 2020.

Some of the games set to be shown at the event include Gears 5, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, Death Stranding and Need for Speed: Heat.

Several games are usually exhibtied at the event and give players the chance to play new releases for the first time.

This years event will include Opening Night Live, which will include various new game announcements.

When is Gamescom 2019?

Gamescom begins on Monday 19 August and it will run until Saturday 24 August.

The event will take place at Koelnmesse, which is an exhibition centre in Cologne, Germany.

There will be several publishers at the event providing previews and demos of new upcoming games.

Blizzard have confirmed that they wont be at Gamescom this year, but there will be conferences from both Nintendo and Xbox.

What is the Gamescom 2019 schedule?

All of the main conferences will be taking place on Monday 19 August, so it wont be too hard to keep track.

Satdia Connect – 6pm BST
