The 28-year-old made his first trip back to the UK in four years, announcing an impromptu gig on Twitter.
The artist announced the weekend show in Peckham on Twitter, shortly before it was called off, with him blaming the police in a follow-up tweet at 3:10 pm.
Talking about the gig, which was scheduled to start at 3pm, he posted: Too rowdy, cops cancelled it, go home, i tried, the gate climbing nail in the coffin, they go nervous, too bad was a cool idea [sic].
London i wanted to play new magic and earfquake so bad f******k. [sic], he added.
However, police told Metro.co.uk: The whole thing has been shut down because security doesnt like whats going on here.
Front management have shut the site down.
Tyler has since taken to Twitter to make it up to his British fans, as he wrote: LONDON: Sept 16/17 O2 BRIXTON ACADEMY – on sale Friday.
All three shows have sold out, with Tyler saying: Im hyped! been a while.
