Rapper G-Eazy was arrested Wednesday night in Sweden after performing a show on charges related to assault and drug possession.
Its not clear what started the alleged fight, and his girlfriend and fellow performer, Halsey, might have also been struck by a security guard, according to TMZ.
TMZ further reported:
Sources familiar with the situation tell us the rapper was partying in a club after his show Wednesday in Stockholm and was acting belligerent. Were told several security guards approached him, asking him to calm down, but G-Eazy started to throw punches … striking one guard in the face several times.
Were told he was detained by police, who allegedly discovered cocaine in the rappers pocket.
This is going to sound a bit out there, but G-Eazy getting arrested isnt going to hurt his career one bit. G-Eazy actually could use some serious street credibility.
As somebody in the office told me, if it turns out that this was in response to somebody going after his girlfriend, then G-Eazy is going to come off look legit if he got cuffed up for his woman.
Honestly, I would tell him to not worry one bit if I was his agent or lawyer. Hes not about to lose a single fan because he might have had some coke and hit somebody during a club melee. Hed be more likely to lose fans if he sat there doing nothing and was extremely sober. This whole thing sounds pretty on-brand.
