Madonna is celebrating her 60th birthday in style, in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh.
The Queen of Pop posted a series of selfies on Instagram, dressed as a North African nomad, titling her snap "BerberQueen".
Wearing a Tarbooshhat along with a traditional Amazigh headdress adorned with spikes and trinkets, plus gold necklaces and chunky amber beads, Madonna clearly wanted to make sure no-one forgot her big day.
Posing with a placard written in Arabic – along with the translation "The Queen" – she wrote: "In case someone forgot!"
The day before her birthday, she wrote: "Almost Birthday Selfie. Celebrating Berber. Culture!"
Local press, including La Tribune De Marrakech, say the star was seen checking into the Riad El Fenn hotel in Medina on Wednesday.
The luxury hotel is co-owned by Vanessa Branson, sister of Virgin media boss Richard Branson.
Lifestyle website Moroccan Ladies says the singer will throw a "grand party" in the evening, and Morocco World News writes that "hundreds of celebrities are expected to attend".

Madonna also shared a picture of herself enjoying an early morning snack and fresh orange juice on her unmade hotel bed.
She captioned the shot of her sitting cross-legged with her hair in two long plaited pig-tails: "Woke up like this…………"
