Roseanne Barrs triumphant return to the top of the network television ratings has propelled the Trump-supporting actress to another noteworthy accomplishment — a spot on Time magazines yearly list of the worlds 100 Most Influential People.

.@therealroseanne "was a shero from the beginning—brilliant, bold, big, brave and beautiful,” writes @Rosie ODonnell #TIME100https://t.co/vrMG9Q6nOI

Writing her tribute for Time was none other than Rosie ODonnell, who couldnt be more opposite when it comes to supporting President Trump.

And yes, it was a topic readers knew the uber-liberal ODonnell wouldnt be able to avoid when writing about her friend.

After an introduction highlighting Barrs 1985 Tonight Show debut, where the author and “millions of others watched this domestic goddess slay a live audience in Burbank,” as well as the decade-long success of Roseanne, ODonnell writes that Barr is “using her art to address relevant social issues, just as she has always done.”

And then the she addressed the elephant in the room:

“There has been much said about her love of the current President. Although I dont understand it in any way, I love her still. I have seen the indefensible tweets from her macadamia-nut farm—and I forgive her,” ODonnell wrote, jokingly referring to a Hawaiian nut farm Barr owns.

The piece ended with a touching tribute to the “big sister I never had.”

“And she has grown and shrunk right before our eyes with a courage that astounds me,” she wrote. “She has been criticized by a President for singing the national anthem. She has openly struggled with mental illness. She travels the breadth of extremities, and that frightens most. But we feel her heart. We have watched her survive it all for three decades. And we love her for it.”

Barr expressed her thanks to ODonnell via Twitter:

thank you @Rosie for kind words in TIME magazine!
