Pioneer as it was originally teased – apparently now its a Rainbow Six game

There might never be a Rainbow Six Siege 2 but Ubisoft is allegedly working on a new Rainbow Six thats very different, as well as a new RPG.

Weve said it more than once already this week but Ubiosft are always the most unpredictable third party publisher at E3, simply because they seem to love announcing as many games as possible out of the blue.

Although many of them leak ahead of time this is the first anyones heard of Rainbow Six Quarantine, which according to Kotakus Jason Schreier evolved from the previously cancelled sci-fi project Pioneer – which was originally teased by a Watch Dogs 2 mission.

Pioneer was supposed to be a peaceful space exploration game, before being turned into a co-op shooter involving fighting aliens, and then into a Rainbow Six game. Although who the bad guys are in Quarantine is unknown.

If that all sounds a bit unlikely the news has also been backed up by reliable tipster Nibel, who claims it will be announced at E3 next week.

He describes Quarantine as a PvE co-op shooter, which if it does involve aliens might mean a sort of sci-fi themed version of Left 4 Dead.

How exactly thats going to fit in the pseudo-realistic world of Rainbow Six we dont know, but maybe itll involve Trumps much-ridiculed Space Force.
