PSN seems to be down for people in the UK and Europe as Sony suffers its first outage of the year.

PSN DOWN, Update 1 – 2.20pm
PSN seems to be stabilising for some users whilst others are still struggling with sign-in issues and matchmaking in games.
Down Detector has noted a slump in reports, though there are still a few users reporting problems.
We'll keep you posted as more information presents itself or Sony offers an official statement.

It's a frustrating afternoon for PS4 owners as the PSN PlayStation Network appears to not be working for users in the UK and Europe.
The gmaing service seemed to hit trouble in about an hour ago with numerous reports of users receiving error messages when trying to access the network
Independent website Down Detector has received hundreds of reports that PSN is down across the UK and Europe.
The outage tracker monitors social mentions around certain topics to detect outages across the world.
That said, Sony's own Network Status Page is showing services as being up and running with all major PSN features currently shown as online.
We'll keep you updated as Sony announces anything formal about the outage.
