Noel Fielding shocked fans earlier this year when he chopped off his iconic locks and channeled an Elvis style quiff.
However, it appears the 45-year-old is reviving his Mighty Boosh days, as he has revealed a new do – and he looks rather like a 1970s Rod Stewart.
Taking to Instagram, the star showed off a platinum, shaggy bob, which appeared to be growing back out into his old choppy mullet.
Seemingly fresh from the salon, he grimaced into the camera while poking his nose with his finger.
Insisting that he hadnt taken the photo himself, Noel wrote in the caption: This is not a selfie x
Fans were quick to comment on his new look, and teased the comedian by comparing him to both Rod Stewart and Kurt Cobain.

One fan wrote: He thinks hes Rod Stewart!
Another added: Looks fabtastic!!!. Cross between Rod and Kurt (sic)
Someone else commented: Ohh my god its another rod Stewart (sic)
A fourth said: Rocking that Cobain.
Earlier this year it appeared the father-of-one was going through some kind if mid-life crisis – or just growing up? – as he had transformed his locks into a well tamed cut with a side parting.
Maybe he was wanting a change, or was getting ready to become a dad, but the new cut came just after it was announced his girlfriend Lliana Bird was eight months pregnant (so well go with the latter).
It was reported on 1 April, that Lliana had gone into labour as a source told The Sun: Lliana was taken into hospital on Saturday and they have just been playing the waiting game over the weekend.
They have both been able to take some time away from work for the arrival of their baby.
Both Noel and his girl have been spotted out on a number of occasions with their new tot, Dali – who they named after famous painter Salvador Dali.
The impressionist is apparently a big influence in Fieldings life, and was the reason he chose to present The Great British Bake Off.

According to friend and Kasabian member Serge Pizzorno, the 44-year-old comedian didnt feel as if he was selling out, since Salvador Dali had also branches into more commercial things like advertising.
Pizzorno apparently joked: We figured Salvador Dali did a chocolate advert, so that sort of makes it all right.
