It might have been her birthday, but Blake Lively wasnt holding back when a fan started to rip into her style.

The 31-year-old showed off a rather expressive look on her Instagram, when she uploaded a picture of herself dressed in a green, blue and pink tartan suit, and even though she may not have expected the fashion police to show up in the comments, the mother-of-twos comeback was on point – just like her outfit.

The fan wrote under the snap: I say this with so much love & respect for you babe, please hire a stylist or fire the one youre currently with. (sic)

But while he dared to critique the stars stylist, Blake was crafting up the perfect response to put him back in his place.

She joked about herself being her own stylist (Picture: GC Images)

She replied: Thank you for the tips, sir. Alas, Ive tried to fire @blakelively so many times. But that b*tch just keeps coming back. She wont leave me alone.

Well that definitely told him – and anyone else who teased the actress over the outfit.

However, despite the comment, many of her 22.5 million followers loved her look and complimented the star on pulling off the suit in all four pics.

One joked: I say this with so much love & respect for you babe, please dont stop being you! I respect you dont have a stylist! I respect you style your own because your style is more fashion forward than the stylists out there. And your hair always looks so effortless! (sic)

Another added: Bitccccchhhhhh…. youre FLY … and dont ever let anyone tell you different (sic)

Someone else commented: You are probably the only person in the world who can pull off that suit. (sic)

Blake has previously spoken out about her style, and revealed she has control issues when it comes to chose clothes.

Talking to WWD about why she doesnt have a stylist, she said: Probably because I have control issues and a big ego – thats probably the honest answer.

I just like it. I love design and I love fashion and its a way to be creative. In my job I get to be creative, but its over a period of time and so many other people are involved, whereas this is a beginning, middle and end, and I get to be creative and theres an end date in the near future.
