Michelle Williams clearly has a special bond with her daughter.
The 38-year-old was spotted enjoying an afternoon stroll with Matilda, whose father is late actor Heath Ledger, and couldnt help but cuddle the youngster as they walked around Brooklyn, New York on Thursday.
Both dressed casually for their outing with Michelle wearing a cropped t-shirt with white linen trousers and a pair of dark sunglasses and sliders, while Matilda, 12, wore a camisole vest top with jogging bottoms and sandals.
Enjoying their quality time together, Michelle wrapped her arm around Matildas waist while the pre-teen warmly gripped her mothers shoulders.
Matilda isnt often pictured with Michelle but the youngster has clearly done a lot of growing up since she was last seen, as she is now taller than her petite mother. While they could easily pass for sisters, Matilda also bares a striking resemblance to her late father.

In July, Michelle opened up about being a single parent following Heaths sudden death in January 2008 when Matilda was just two-years-old.
Speaking honestly to Vanity Fair, Michelle admitted: When youre a single parent, and that element of provider and protection is missing, its scary. I always say to Matilda, “Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes”. I never gave up on love.
This summer, Michelle revealed that she had secretly married indie musician Phil Elverum in a private wedding ceremony.

Opening up about her new husband, the Oscar-winning actress told the magazine: Ultimately the way he loves me is the way I want to live my life on the whole. I work to be free inside of the moment. I parent to let Matilda feel free to be herself, and I am finally loved by someone who makes me feel free.
She added: Dont settle for something that feels like a prison, or is hard, or hurts you. If it doesnt feel like love, its not love.
