Lorde has kept her relationship with Justin Warren quiet, after rumours they started dating last year.
But the Royals singer was spotted looking seriously cosy with the 33-year-old, earlier this week.
The 21-year-old seemed smitten as she hugged the record producer, as they spent the day together in New York.
Lorde, real name Ella Marija Lani Yelich-OConnor, couldnt wipe the smile from her face during their rare day out.
The couple have kept their rumoured romance largely out of the limelight, but were spotted frolicking together on a beach in New Zealand at the beginning of the year, sparking intense speculation they were getting close.
However, James put paid to any romance rumours at the time, stating they were nothing more than friends.

Ella and I have worked together for years and were good friends, he said. Any rumours of us being “a pair” are ridiculous.
Ella has a really busy year ahead of her and well be spending more time together as plans for the next Lorde record unfold.
Earlier this year, Lorde was forced to hit out at claims she was dating Lena Dunhams ex-boyfriend, Jack Antonoff.
The music producer and Melodrama singer have always been close friends, and speculation amped up after his break-up with the Girls actress.
But during an Instagram Live session, she told fans: Guys, no! Guys, never, no! Jack and I are not dating. For the last time.
I love him, hes awesome. But were not dating!

The music producer, 33, also rubbished the reports, telling his own fans: Normally I would never address rumours but I resent having the most important friendships and working relationships in my life reduced to dumb hetero normative gossip.
Those relationships are deeply important and sacred. With that said, Im not seeing anyone. Lol.
So thats that then.
Lordes reps have declined to comment.
