Life Is Strange 2 was one of the more surprising no-shows at E3 last week, but it seems Square Enix and developer Dontnod were merely waiting till now to reveal it.

Theyd already confirmed the sequel was on its way (last years Life Is Strange: Before The Storm is a prequel by a different developer) but this is the first time its ever been formally announced.

The only problem is theyve said absolutely nothing about it, and the teaser trailer below doesnt give anything way either.

So all we know is that episode one of five will be out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on September 27.

What was shown at E3 though is The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit, a free game which will be released on Tuesday, June 26.

Its meant as an introduction to both the franchise and the genre, for those that have never tried either, but main character Chris (aka Captain Spirit) will also feature in Life Is Strange 2.

Whether Max and Chloe will as well remains unclear, with Dontnod insisting that their story is told and the sequel will focus on new characters in the same universe.

When we interviewed Dontnod last week though they did admit that Max and Chloe could possibly return if theres enough fan demand, which we suspect there is.
