Only weeks after his ex Katie Price was given 12 weeks to pay off her debts or be faced with being formally declared insolvent, Dwight Yorke faces the same threat of bankruptcy.

The former footballer, 46, has allegedly spiralled into debt and according to the Rolls Building court lists, he is to face the music on Monday morning.

His insolvency hearing is listed today in the same court Katies appeared in, at 10.30am under the name Dwight Eversley Yorke.

It has been alleged the former Manchester United and Aston Villa player was forced to sell his £2.25 million Cheshire mansion, after it was claimed his company assets were valued at only £2.

A source added to The Sun: He even sold the Cheshire mansion he used to share with Katie. He got £2.25million last year but that clearly hasnt helped.

When you think of how successful Dwight was as a player, it is really quite difficult to believe it has come to this.

After playing for Aston Villa he was transferred to Manchester United in 1998 for a reported £12.6million. In 2002 the player signed to Blackburn Rovers for £2 million and played for the club for two years.

He then signed to Sydney FC in 2005 for a reported salary of $1 million (£573k) per season.

It was claimed last year he faced bankruptcy, however a petition against him was dropped when it was claimed the amount he owed was below £5,000.

It comes after his former partner Katie Price was given until 30 October to pay back her own debts.

Mother-of-five Katie fell on tough financial times recently, as she reportedly attempted to sell her £2million West Sussex mansion, as well as an £100k Audi once bought second-hand for ex-husband Kieran Hayler.

Shes also admitted to staging paid photoshoots with paps, after some raunchy images emerged from her sexy getaway with boyfriend Kris Boyson.

However shed earlier hit back at claims she was the reason bailiffs came knocking on her mansion doors, as she blamed Kieran. Taking to social media to attempt to clear the air about the money, she told fans bailiffs turned up at the house to see Kieran.

It came after a source told the Mirror: Katie is really bad with managing her money and lets things get out of control.

Not long ago, in 2016, Katie admitted she was not always great at managing her money.

The personality said: Some people are very careful and they plan for the future or they pay their bills on time. I dont. I have bailiffs at my door all the time.
