Justin Theroux has returned to Instagram after a two week break following the announcement of the end of his marriage.
The film producer has broken his social media blackout to share a post of his visit to a puppy shelter in Texas.
The 46-year-old cuddled two pit bull puppies in the snap, and shared an adorable picture of one biting his nose.
He wrote: ‘Texas!!! Another very inspiring visit with the incredible people and pups @austinpetsalive.
‘I cannot understand how they do what they do, day after day, so consistently and lovingly to save so many dogs and cats. I HIGHLY recommend going in and getting your nose bit by a toothless baby pitbull.’
He continued: ‘These two aren’t yet ready to go, but when they are go get em…’
Justin then used Selena Gomez’s name to drum up even more publicity for the post, and added: ‘Yeah that’s right Selena I did it to you again but if you saw these guys you’d do whatever you could too also I know you’re chill like that [sic].’
Selena is a good friend of the couple.
His return to social media comes after Jennifer’s old Friends pal Matt LeBlanc commented on their split.
Speaking to The Sun ahead of the return of Top Gear, he said: ‘I haven’t spoken to Jennifer about it, but I’m sure she’s doing OK right now.
‘She’s a big girl.’
The couple announced their split earlier this month in a statement that read: ‘In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation.
‘This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.’
One of the main reasons given for the split was that Jennifer and Justin were said to not have very much in common anymore, with Jennifer loving life in LA while Justin was more interested in partying in New York.
